These instructions are how one can write IMEI of MTK devices using SN tool on a windows pc or desktop
NOTE: that the instructions below are only applicable to Mediatek devices, if you own a pc good, writting of imei should be an issue for you, follow the instructions below to get going.
HOW TO WRITE IMEI WITH SN TOOL
- Download SN tool from the Link below and extract the zip file to your desired folder, Open SN writer as shown below

2. After the SN write tool is launched the screen below will pop up, click COMPORT AND select USB VCOM on target type select SMARTPHONE
3. Now click on system configuration as shown below and configure
4. once configure is launched select IMEI, BT ADDRESS AND WIFI ADDRESS on write option
5. If the phone is dual sim then tick the dual sim option, if it does not then leave that section unticked
6. under the Database File select MD1_DB and AP_DB, these two files came along with the firmware file you downloaded simply open the firmware folder and select them
7. Now click on save button
10. click on the start button
11. under scan data write the IMEI 1, IMEI 2, THE BT ADDRESS AND WIFI ADDRESS
12. You should now switch off the phone, plug the battery out and connect it your pc via USB: the writing process will commence
13. once the process is completed unplug the phone and you are done
THINGS TO NOTE:
- with the method above you can change IMEI of Mediatek devices ie mtk powered phones
